So shocked and stunned to read this thread, poor you and poor Grace. She's through the most dangerous part now and here's to her making a full recovery. Without a doubt this horse is just SO lucky to have you as her "mum", not everyone is as caring and vigilant as you are Becki.
Becki, have not had the internet all weekend so only just logged on to discover what you have been through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Healing vibes to Grace~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thinking of you both
I am so sorry to hear that you are going through yet more problems with Grace.
I really do hope that she makes a speedy recovery and you get an answer to what is causing this.
Everything is crossed for you both, neither of you deserve this rotten luck.
(((((((((positive healing vibes)))))))))))))
OMG - missed all this yesterday. Am so sorry for you & Grace. Had no idea things were this bad. Thank god she has come through surgery, I know how you feel.
Sending huge hugs your way and hope she makes a speedy recovery. So sorry for everything you've been through.
Wow. Poor Grace and poor you. Fingers crossed for a good recovery. You must be so relieved you brought her in as soon as you started to worry so they were able to operate so quickly.
Hope the corner has been turned and that you get to the bottom of this.
Oh no! Poor grace, fingers crossed for her and (((hugs))) for you, I hope she gets better soon! My pony's only friend went down with colic last night, it's so horrible to see them like that
That is what they are thinking for Grace at the moment... colitis
fingers crossed. xxx
My mare had bit of a cough - so vet gave her an antibiotic injection - then she got acute colitis as a result - was a really rare thing to happen, but I have read quite a bit about it now.
But that is not the case for you girl is it? She hadn't had antibiotics first?
I really hope she pulls through - is just the first 48 hrs that is the hardest xxxx
OMG - Just caught up with this, you really are going through it at the moment. Lots of good vibes to you and Grace and I really hope she is now fully on the road to recovery.
