Where can i get a ncie high ring grackle noseband?

The last one i had stretched too much and did not really fit.

I was wondering to buy the Mark Todd grackle bridle in black (as do really need a bride as a spare) so if anyone has one what is the quality like? if anyone has any other recommendations of cheaper Grackle bridles with billet hooks that would be great thanks

I bought a grackle bridle on ebay from Dales Saddlery. It is really nice, cost £21.99 from memory and got some lovely compliments when I was BSJAing yesterday. It's maybe not Albion quality but still looks like new and the leather's fine. They all have buckle hooks on the listings but I sent the chap a message and he sold me some cheekpieces to match with billets on for £2.99.

Couldn't be more pleased with it!

Ive got a lovely Treadstone grackle bridle it wasn't too expensive either and has a really nice padded 'comfort' headpiece. Here's a pic of it:

Another one for the Frank Baines - beautifully soft. I have a Keiffer padded cavesson bridle, also beautifully soft, but bought the FB one because I got fed up swapping to the grackle noseband when I need it, right fanny on !

Does anyone else know much about Mark Todd Leather as i can probably find a shop nearby that sells one so i can have a look in the flesh

I had a Mark todd one that really stretched round the nose as the leatherwork was quite fine, my stubben CTD one has slightly thicker leather and doesn't look as though it would stretch.

I have an old CTD one on F and it has never stretched.

I have been looking at bridles this week fran and now peli is jumping im finding it a faff to keep swapping nosebands and reins stops etc .

The mark tood one is nice the lather is lovely quailty ( and im mega fussy when it comes to leather work! ).

I am buying bridle parts seperatly as i need full size head and cheeks and cob size browband ( already have an english grackle ).

I have a FB dressage girth and its really nice quailt but not seen the bridles but would imagine they are just as nice.

Thanks Claire - i only really NEED the grackle part anyway as i have a nice enough bridle so unsure whether to go for just the noseband or the bridle as well

If i bought the bridle the browband would not fit anyway as he needs an XFull - so would not have two complete bridles anyway!

Thistle- will reply to your pm in a sec

See thats why i have got the parts now. If you can use the whole bridle then perfect but if not it wouldnt be of much use.

I got a new comfot headpiece coming soon from an ebay seller complete with cheeks so i will prob go to ingatestone this sunday if its poo weather and i dont go SJ and get an extra set or reins and another browband to make a bridle thats fits her.

Dever saddlery do a nice grackle bridle in thier ascot range, it has a padded headpeice, browband, and top part of the grackle. Plus they have 3 colours to choose from

and both my bridles (grackle and cavesson) are both still looking in great condition! and even better they are half the price of mark todd bridles, and then even cheaper again if you get them from eileen douglas tack shops ... www.tackshop.co.uk
