Grade 1 Heart murmur 4 year old

Received vet notes from second opinion practise to send to the original one so they have a copy of the “no heart murmur” for his records.

Also asked them to pass onto first vet a thank you for being thorough but I was happy to not investigate as senior clinical lead from second opinion practise was happy there was nothing abnormal.

Will send to insurance company as well and hope they don’t try and exclude a healthy heart.

Murmurs can come and go - I have definitely heard some in horses on one occasion, gone back to check when next on the yard, or for a second vaccine, to find it is absolutely normal. Anything affecting blood viscosity etc can cause one to appear, and then disappear. So both vets *may* have been right. But most important thing is that your boy is ok!
