Disclaimer: I am very perimenopausal.

Can someone please get Graham Norton off that horse on that telly ad….

Also;

Why has no one groomed the poor horse?

Why is even sat on a horse when he clearly can’t ride?

Why did no one untwist the reins?

Why is he holding the reins like that?

I just had to get that out of my system. If you’ve not seen the ad, I’m glad for you. If you’re not perimenopausal, I’m even gladder for you.

Its a strange advert for sure, I even googled the company as in the background in the advert are lots of black horses, wondered if it was a subsidiary of Lloyd's, its not, its a Russian company

Revolut is a UK financial tech start-up, with its founders being Russian but living in the UK with UK citizenship and its business head quartered in London.

It is one of the UK's massive success stories in FinTech - it has hit a valuation of $75 billion and is considered one of Europe's most valuable private tech companies. It could potentially IPO and I think they said they would be looking to list in the US, so that will be another dimension for the future.

It started as a currency trading / switching platform which was very useful to get the optimal rate when traveling and also I found to use as completely distinct card if I'm somewhere I feel might be more risky from a cloning perspective. And you could use the app to switch between traditional currencies and cryptocurrencies but over the past couple of years it applied for banking licenses and has recently restructured as a bank.

The horse thing is a clear poke at traditional banking. It isn't meant to look impressive and regal, it's meant to be a joke. I didn't think the horse looked unhappy in any way.

Its not even real. It's all AI
The background, sure - but him on the horse? I suspect that’s real else because AI would’ve made it better 😅.

(I don’t think the horse is necessarily unhappy, just wondering when it will all be over).

I'm not sure I've seen this advert- I'll look out but I do understand how some adverts can really grind in a crazy way!! I'm not even going to mention mine as no one will thank me when you're all singing the f'ing thing in your heads all day/week/month

I dislike adverts.

the advert is on youtube search graham norton revolut the horse doesn't look unhappy in any way and there is nothing horrible about t he advert if anyone wants to watch it.

The horse isn't suffering it was only required to walk a few yards, I don't suppose the horse cares if he was groomed, not sure what the problem is with the reins, I often hold them like that.

perhaps the perimenopause is the problem here, it doesn't seem to be the horse.:D:D

My OH called me out for complaining about exactly the same things 🤣🤣

Related - there is an inordinate number of adverts from all sorts of equestrian brands that use VERY poor photos that perpetuate modern ignorance about saddle fit, equitation, training and most aspects of equine management. It's very hard to educate people better in these areas when they keep seeing these poor images.

I haven't seen the Revolut ad, but I have moaned at Flying Changes showing a saddle that doesn't fit horse or rider with the dressage rider sitting about 6" behind their feet on the back of the saddle, which itself is tipping back. I don't think it will change much, but making sure these aspects of marketing materials are correct would sure help with improving many aspects of equine welfare.

Yes perimenopause is most definitely the problem 😅
