Grand names for horses that don't live up to the name?

kerilli;1005335 I have a lovely mare called said:
Can I send you one of mine K? Didn't realise whne I bought him that his passport name was Goodenough:rolleyes:, although tends to live up more to his stable name of Jittery J:)

I have a lovely mare called, unfortunately, "Perfect Ten"... I really do have to try to get permission to change her name, that is just TOO bigheaded to try to do dressage on, however good she might be!

Oh I thought you were going to say she was really fat and you couldn't keep the weight off her lol :D:o

My dog's name is Blowingstone Muffin Pip. His breeder was insane. Blowingstone muffin pip is fine for a Pomeranian or a shih tzu but a doberman?! Really? :D

My dog came from a breeder who has the prefix Tiggertoo.

The puppies from his litter, and his mother, were named after singers.

Mother was Tiggertoo Macy Gray

Not too bad .....

My dog was going to be called Tiggertoo Justin Timberlake - but there were too many letters for Kennel Club regisering I believe so instead he got ......

Tiggertoo ....... Jason Donovan ! I mean, I ask you !

His pet name is Lewis ..... after Inspector Morse and Lewis.

However, better still is his dad's name .....

Tiggertoo Shy Ted ....... now say that quickly. I wonder what sort of personality his Dad was ...... (lord knows how that got through the Kennel Club register !)

I know people who tried to register a name including Shy Ted with Weatherbys; they didn't allow the name :D

I used to ride a little dumpy hairy Shetland at Willie Daly's in Cork called Shergar.
Mother got a very flighty TB type called Saucepan :o

Our last old dog was called Nancy. She was a German Shepherd, the size of a small cow.

My boy spent his formative years as a stud.
His name?

Jaffa

The several lovely foals he produced before I bought him and lopped his bits off say otherwise :D

My ex husbund used to show ponies professionally, he was at PUK one year and was asked to show a pony for a friend of ours, bearing in mind he was quite a butch handler, he asked the ponies name, Rofantina Sugerplum Fairy came the reply. As he had just been showing a welsh cob stallion it was rather a change. Apologies to any connections of this pony, it was lovely and won its class.

Not showy, but funny named!

We have a little pony called Victor and there used to be a youngster called Henry! They seem far too "old man" and grand for such horses :P

Also, the race horse Viking Spirit...he looks more like a fairy than a Viking!

I've got a horse called Who's Class. Fine if we do well, not so good if we don't!!!!! I also have a gelding with the name of Daydream. Far from being a daydream, he is a complete nightmare!!!!!!

i had an "angel" once :D usually to be seen about 3 ft of the floor with me on my a** she was half arab though so thats prob why ;)

i helped a friend sell "as good as gold" she was 85% of the time ,the other 15% her owner and me would of gladly shot her ourselves

i went with my instructor to teach a few weeks ago and were waiting for ***** riding fluffy ,i was expecting a little native type creature and in walk a gorgeous big bay gelding :D

my current horse is called cupids bow which i find quite ironic ,because of him spending all my money and requireing all my time i haven't had a sniff of a man in years lol

My first pony was a hairy, ancient, scruffy laminitic shetland called Tarquin. The next pony was called Misty, not a grey but a white pony with black spots. My daughter's pony is called Gem and she is,most of the time.:D

I got my boy from his breeder, who'd rescued him back from someone who'd taken him on then abandoned him...in his short life before I met him he'd already had a very chequered career and accquired a very bad reputation and re-installed in his breeder's yard, he had no name but was being called 'Resident Evil!'....amongst many other unkind things...time came for me and OH to decide to take him on and he was late-registered..we decided to call him Myrddin Wyllt (Welsh for 'Wild Merlin' aka the wizard merlin of the legend) given that he was both rather wild, rather magical and of course, Welsh.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and when OH and I are combing a forest ravine looking for him after him having been chased out of his breeder's field by her herd and being lost for at least 24 hours, we find him pottering sadly in the ravine, none the worse but rather humbled...at which point I turned to OH and said 'And whose bright idea was it to name him after the Merlin who wandered in the forest for 40 days???'
Thankfully it took slightly less time than that to persuade him to weigh up his options and come quietly...
So, grand name that so far is being lived up to quite well, mores the pity!!! :D

I've got a devil who is far from his name, he's actually a saint. He's up for sale at the moment and I haven't had a single enquiry about him, starting to wonder if ita because I've put him name in the ad??

my first one was registered as GATSBY ASTRAKHAN he was black with a white star every girls black beauty. what i should also mention is that he was a 12'2 Dartmoor pony :D:confused::confused::confused:;)
