Hiya guys!
Basically I am currentley writing an EPQ essay (extended project) upon the topic 'treatments used on horses within the grand national', and my current paragraph is on training methods. So i am looking into different trainers and how thier methods compare to other peioples. (How people train a horse to enter the grand national.)
Please, Massive please, if anyone knows of any good websites, methods, or trainer comparatives, please would you let me know, it would be heavily appreciated!
Many thanks :D xxx (apologies for awful spelling!)

Thankyou so much for the advice! :D I was just wondering out of interest, do you think perhaps, if a horse is trained to jump correctly, would there be anyway of preventing a fall or injury do you think? or do you think this is down to luck/rider?
Cheers! :) xxx

We use interval training forour horses. The 2 National runners wehave had in my time at the yard were both grey strangely!

In the 2months prior to the National the horses work would be increased to stamina enducing efforts as it really is a marathon of a race. Their prep races were the Welsh National and the Betfair Gold Cup at Haydock. Jumping wise they both schooled over xc fences and we built "National" style fences. The first horse we ran cleared them by a country mile. The second one went out with 2 novices to jump the fence and of the 3 which one left a HUGE hole in the fence?! Yup! The handicapper pro! So no, no matter how much schooling you do - anything can happen.

If you email a few trainers then I am sure that they will be more than willing to part with some of their valued wisdom.

If its still available online look at channel four programme how to win the national
