Grannus, if you could would you breed to him?

hmm , just read his history , so , he didnt grade spectacularily , his first crop of foals were a tad small , and yet he became a legend , on his show jumping merits i imagine , how hard it is to choose a young stallion on gradings alone

Don't know which horse you have been reading the history of but this is Grannus, a legend, he is the type of horse I dream to breed. My all time favourite horse.

Grannus - not just a name but a symbol, a trademark. A symbol of a potent individual with an aura only a very few are blessed with.
With a lifetime total of well over five million DM so far, the off-spring of this glossy black Hanoverian stallion which include seven Olympic horses and more than 60 approved stallions, have made him one of the greatest sires in the world. Just as powerful as his inheritance is, his end was just as spectacular. In full view of several thousand spectators at Klatte's 1993 Stallion Presentation in Vechta, the heart of the Oldenburg breeding area, the 21 year old muscle man suddenly fell to the ground - the last breath of an equine personality seldom seen.

Come on Ken, tell us why the question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that Grannus is dead, as do several thousand people that witnessed it.

Don't get me excited, especially if there is nothing to get excited about!!!!!!!!!!

Holds breath for answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To the right mare yes.

Did Austin Powers brought back some long lost frozen with him or have you clone in your back garden?

Well Ken you've started a hare running ..... is there any connection with the "mystery appearances" promised at the February Zangersheide Open Days?? Does the Ken Rehill magic extend to raising stallions from beyond the grave?

I'd breed a filly every time!! then to almost any stallion ..Furioso II,Argentinus,Sandro all dead i kno but great stallions to Grannus produced superstar sons- for pleasure, Sandroboy and loads to Argentinus.. yes I'd breed to Grannus

yet no one wants my broodmares with grannus bloodlines, one by grannex the other by granulit. guess i will just have to keep them then : )

Other option no one seems to have thought of is if they have managed to clone Grannus yet….after all the Chellano Z clone was born this year so you never know…..

oh wow, how has someone managed to keep that under wraps and not use it before??!!

I think you will have a queue forming quickly!!

How I got them...............................................yeah right!

Stud fee decided, but it will be very advantageous to breeders. You all know me well enough to know that if I say something like that, I mean it.
