What is the best way to loose a grass belly? My pony has been fat this summer but only around the belly she has no fat on her next or bum at all. The grass is very good and not really possible to restrict/ fence off etc so she has been muzzled during the day and muzzle off at night.
Shes ridden every other day- hacked for an hour not worked particularly hard. We have no school so can't really school her.
We've just moved to a new field where strip grazing will be possible after they have eaten the initial strip down. There are two in the field she still wears her muzzle during the day and off at night. Shes naked and unclipped at the moment. She's fed blue chip lami lite and a handful of hi fi light. She's 17 years old. Has always been a skinny Minnie until we moved to this new yard with good grazing 2 years ago.
