Yesterday I noticed that my mares grass glands were up. Have never noticed this before in the 10 odd years I've owned her.
This may be a silly statement but she living out, has no grass in the field and her round bale has run out (due to put a new one in at the weekend, so for now she's just coming in for a Haynet am and pm, this is fine as she's a chunk anyway)
it caused he no pain, she still eating and drinking and is fine in herself. Went for a hack and it had gone down by the time we got back.
They were up again this morning, and in the time it took her to eat her Haynet it had near enough gone back down.
This evening it was up again, and she also has a lump on her cheek, the same side as the inflamed grass gland.
Any thoughts as to what this could be?
Will be ringing the vet in the morning regardless, but wondered if anyone had any ideas.
When I first noticed yesterday.
