Had anyone come across any sort of supplement that helps with grass glands? My horse often suffers in the summer but because he was in during the day it had usually gone down by the time I wanted to ride in the evening. However, he has recently been coming in with a face so big that his headcollar won't do up, riding is impossible as he can't breathe if he is anywhere close to being on the bit!
We have short but green grass and he is an extremely dedicated eater... he does have hay in the field but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I want him to have as much turnout as is available but I would also really like to ride my horse.
Just interested if anyone has found anything that helps? I really don't want to muzzle or reduce turnout.
