grass glands?

In winter when Roo was coming in from the field on a night, and going out through the day, we went through a few weeks of her having swollen glands, presumably grass glands.
Roo is out 24/7 now, last night and tonight, I have brought Roo in to ride and found her glands are swollen. So do I start bringing her in on a night, or do I start putting her grazing muzzle on through day, or is there something else I should do?

prince was getting these ridiculously bad to the point where i felt bad to ride him as he physically couldnt go in an outline which when you do dressage is abit of an issue, i tried bringing him in durning the day and putting him out at night and vice versa but it wasnt long enough for them to go down, so i tried him on global herbs pollen X and i havnt had a problem since!!

The swollen glands in the winter are due to not enough grass to eat, horse has head down lots of salvia is being produced but there is not enough bite to use it all up.

Swollen glands in the summer can be for the same reason if they are out on short or sparse grass. Not much you can do about it. It can also be an allergic reaction to pollen, crop spraying, pollution etc.
