My boy, as have some of the other horses at his livery looks like he has swallowed a couple of giant golf balls. The glands are swollen big time, however they are not tender, he has no nasal discharge and seems happy and continues to eat for England. 🇬🇧😄
In nearly 30 years of horse ownership I've never come across grass glands before and to be honest had not heard about them until I saw my boy with his thyroid area all big and lumpy. (seems I'm still learning new things all the time)
The yard manager said not to worry but I'm wondering if I should be concerned as I do worry about the anything that is not the norm. 😨

Mine had grass glands back in the spring - again - in 40 years of horse ownership. He looked like a hamster.  but within a couple of hours, they were gone. :) :)

This happens every now and again to horses at our yard.
Random horses, random situations but always from one particular field.

They have all had no ill affects and it soon goes down.
