grass glands?!?

One of my horses came in tonight with a really swollen gland only on the one side it looks awful its swollen right up to his ear! It's squishy and he doesn't seem to bother me poking and prodding at is and is eating his tea.

It looks like what one of my other horses gets in the summertime, is it possible it could be down to the grass I wouldn't have thought they would get like that this time of year? And he's never had it before?

I just thought it was unusual for this time of year? Especially considering it's the first time he's had them? I always thought it was more common when the new grass started coming thru and thru out the summertime?

Mine's got them today too, as have a couple of others on the same yard. So I wouldn't worry
