Grass - has the laminitus risk reduced now?

My are only allowed on 'old' grass at the mo - the stuff that I wanted to cut for hay, but couldn't get anyone to bale it which is now long and stalky. The other half of my field is far too lush and green for them to be allowed near. Am thinking I shall move them on to there about beginning of November.
 
Yes - high risk. You shouldn't be turning ANYTHING out on mentally lush grass, regardless of age or type. There has also been much new thinking on fructans in frosty grass which has overturned the stuff we used to think was fact.

Keep the muzzles/restricted turnout/stripgrazing or sheep mowing up and keep those tummies in check. Many of the autumn cases are when Cushing's and it's insidious effects sneak in...
