Hi everyone, i live in London and own a wonderful 16 hand gelding, 17 years old. He is currently kept on livery 50 miles away from me which is too far, i dont get to see him that often and its costing me a fortune in petrol !!!!!!!!

I want to put him on full grass livery, no more than 20 miles from Central London (Waterloo area), any direction.

Does anyone know of any nice secure yards, please let me know ???? :)

What about Claygate area? Too far? There are a couple of places in Long Ditton area which used to do grass livery...

How about abridge? I did see somewhere advertised when I went home a few months ago in the local taack shop, you could probably get the number from them,it was Janette Moss in Waltham Abbey.

Weald Place Farm in Epping might suit you then. It's on the Central Line so doable by public transport if you don't want to drive all the time. I can get from my office in St Pauls to the yard by tube in 50 minutes. Small private yard with fab arena and good hacking including off road on private land. Part livery (everything but grooming and exercising) is £460 a month including ad lib hay, straw and hard feed. Think it is quite bit cheaper when living out (not sure as mine can't go out 24/7). Lovely yard owner and horses are very relaxed there,

Depends on what you want.

I'm on a private yard at the moment near Bayford and we have some stabled horses and some grass. I keep my retired on a sort of assisted grass where someone feeds daily and checks him twice.

There's no school though so better for either happy hacker or turned away/semi retired.
