Hello,
I'm new to all this and think I posted in the wrong section before. I'm looking for grass livery anywhere roughly from Basingstoke, Newbury southwards....as south as poss. Even se Wilts around Salisbury. Any suggestions would be great, have looked on NFED so know one or two, but, it seems like a big secret where all these places are!! I'm not looking for right now so if you know somewhere that's full I'd still love to know!

There must be places out there....somewhere...that let you keep neddy outside but still recognise you would like a school at least to have a wobble around in and somewhere to leave your bits and bobs.

If someone out there has asked the same thing and done the same search please at least put me out of my misery and tell me I'm in cloud cuckoo land!!

Thanks

When I moved to Hants I found very little grass livery, not that I was looking because I have my own place but its fair to say in South Hants most people I know have their horses at home or on DIY/ Part /full livery yards.

Also your area is pretty wide. Where do you live and how far do you want to travel. The thing that struck me is that grass livery in some people's minds means not having to attend to the horse more than once a week and for that reason I wouldn't offer it.

NFED also gives you the option of putting your own add on requesting grass livery in your chosen area.

Thanks BBH
My search area is large as I'm having trouble finding places near home, (outside Winchester) and I know it's likely to be due to it being such a well heeled area, business sense wise obviously you provide what your market wants (can pay!!) So as we are looking to relocate further away from the hubub I thought I'd widen the search!! I know grass livery means different things to different people I was hoping for full or assisted so that at least am checks were covered and I could do once a day with cover for any days I couldn't make, much like assisted diy but without the stable!

Good idea about advertising, it's amazing how blinkered you become ! Well I have become

Thanks again

oh! Sprout who where what.....please pm with info/number if you have it!!

Just googled and found their website, looks good... thanks again

I think you will have a problem finding grass livery with facilities as most grass livery that I've ever come across is actually just turning your horse out in a field. Livery with facilities like a school and storage would normally also offer stabling.
