Does anyone know of any grass liveries in South Bucks? And can anyone shed any light on what happened to Gravelly Way Livery Yard in Penn - was thriving a few years ago and now appears derelict.

A fair few years back (pre covid) I interviewed for YM role there. The guy who owned it had big plans for the place, and was desperate to get planning to allow for a YM to live on site but the council were saying it wasn't necessary. The whole thing just felt a bit off so I turned it down. It was in a nice location though and seemed like a nice yard. Shame if it’s fallen into disrepair.

Not too many grass livery in that area - you’ve got Tacky Central near Chesham.
There is/was a place in Iver which was DIY but you were left to your own devices and could turn out as you wanted. It was wet though so part stabling in winter was best, pretty cheap though. Was very cliquey when I was there though.
Manor Farm in Seer Green does grass but will probably have a waiting list.

Thank you, will look into Manor Farm. Such a pity about Gravelly Way, had a space lined-up for a gelding that failed vetting in 2022 and it was a lovely, small, friendly yard with great fields and direct access to Common Wood, but swung-by last weekend and it's locked-up and empty. Tacky Central is a bit further away but may well revisit.

Many many years ago I kept a horse on grass livery at Jennings Farm, it’s just off the Beaconsfield junction of the M40, it was a lovely yard. I think they still offer different livery options. https://jenningsfarmliveryyard.com/services/

The hacking was lovely from memory! It’s technically Berkshire but very close to Bucks! I’d definitely recommend it, the same family run it now
