Hi,
I'm looking for a retirement yard or potentially grass livery for one of our mares. Were based in hertfordshire, but willing to send her within 3 hours distance to the right yard.
Does anyone know or have there horses at a retirement yard that could recommend?

I had one of mine at Surrey Grazing over the winter which worked out fine. It's about 10 minutes from the M25 so should be within your 3 hour limit. pm me if you want more details - they have a website if you google them.

what sort of horse is she and would she need full grass livery? The yard I am on in herts does grass livery for ponies cobs and good doers but it is DIY though there is some assistance.

What area are you? Sorry phone dossn't let me
know. A friend of mine has a fantastic retirement yard in Cornwall, she has lots of horses from the Home Counties at her yard, I would quite happily put my precious horse there. PM me if you are interested and I will give you the website address.

We're based in Hertfordshire but willing to put her anywhere depending on the yard. Shes a very special part of the family. :)
if you could PM the details that would be fab.

thanks

I am at Chorleywood livery but our YO does not normally take on this sort of horse for grass livery as she normally prefer ponies and cobs living out as they are all good doers and have the same management issues. But you could try giving her a call.

I know Catlips in Chorleywood also do grass livery.

Neither of these yards are retirements yards though.

Shes a 16.2 belgian warmblood. What yard are you at?

PM doesn't always work on my phone. Google Goodmerry Farm, Cornwall, scroll down past the recording studios (her husbands business) it it topic number 5, listed Goodmerry Farm Horse Retirement Equine Livery. It will give you E Mail address and phone numbers. You will find Ellen very accommodating, Good Luck.
