Grass matts

Does anyone use these around gateways or heavily used areas of field in winter to stop poaching. Do you think they help?

Yes and yes. They need to go down soonish though to give the grass a chance to start coming through and get them settled before the mud starts.

They do help - but not that much. When it gets muddy they will move. Best to put hardcore down if possible.

I think it depends on the type of soil you have.... I wouldn't bother on clay, they will sink... never to be seen again!!!

I was looking at getting some, but mine are on clay and it's literally knee deep in the gateways mid winter!!
