I just wondered what people pay for grass livery or grass rent and what you get for that? Facilities etc?

And whereabouts in the country?

I pay £130 a month which includes rug changes, checks twice daily and feeding twice daily (if required). I buy in my own feed though and it doesnt include hay if we run out of grass in the winter, that is normally around £30 a month extra on top if needed.

Facilities are excellent, 60 x 20 floodlite arena, lunge pen, horsewalker being installed, indoor school about to be installed, gallop track and ok hacking (all round country lanes but you can get out on to the New Forest if you want to).

Thats in Hampshire.

Thats pretty good actually! where abouts is that

i used to pay £30 for completely DIY grass livery with a small non floodlit school

In Devon I rent a 7 acre field for £5 a horse full diy and nothing apart from running water. Just down the rd from my yard so I can rest my own field.

15 per week for full grass livery - hay included I buy hard feed. No real facilities as such but have fenced area off for a school. The big advantage was I didn't have to go every day to check as I've hot kids and work shifts. Oh that price also includes fly repellant lol

£270 per month DIY grass livery, well drained sandy fields with post and rail fencing or good electric tape or both! Amazing hacking right on the doorstep. Rubber, large, floodlight, sandschool probably 25m x 60m, with use of jumps. Lunging area. tie up area, hay/halage included. Storage for tack/feed. Bring in for yard farrier.

Oh and i'm surrey hills hence the price! Move over the border to Sussex clay and you are looking at £100 a month for the same but clay soil and 40mins road work before any half decent hacking.

I was looking at charging £100 pm grass livery for summer only. Includes grazing, daily check, small feed (and the food itself), muck picking, picking feet out, rug changes if required, a small amount of hay and a trim if barefoot.
