Fin lost his fight with grass sickness yesterday.

Thank you everyone that gave advice and support, it was very gratefully received but in the end it was too much for Fin.

He was a lovely little chap that will be missed by horses and humans alike.

I lost my 18 month old to grass sickness last year, had him since birth, we have mum 2, It literally came on and he was put down in the space of 2 days, the vet didnt no what it was at first and said she would send off bloods that would take a week! we drove the bloods ourselves and found out that day, it is such an awful thing, horses rarely recover from it, sorry about your boy, I know how you feel :)

Sorry for the loss:( sickens me that horses die from their own natural food source??But it isnt their own natural food source(as in not moving on herbs etc) as we keep them in artificail paddocks,so has to be to do with the way we keep their paddocks(fertilizers etc) dosnt it??Or have wild horses died from grass sickness?
