Hi Guys,
Been away for the week so hi to all!
But......
Last weekend one of the people i share my field with mentioned that the yard was needing to talk to me about the grazing as they wanted to make changes. So off i duely trotted to find out what was what.
One of the horses in the field was putting on weight and they had threatened to leave if something wasnt done. They tried turning the horse out with a muzzle on but the owner didnt like it.
So they had agreed to half the field and top it.
I wasnt overly impressed as owner of a skinny TB weight is difficult and the lovely grass was just doing the trick.
So all agreed the field was to be done on monday whilst i was away.
I get back today to find the field looking like a cricket pitch- all mown not topped! And only allowed in half the field!
So i spoke to the YM who's opinion is "IT WILL GROW BACK"
Great! I can already see where my girl is dropping weight.
Im nowing to feed tripple the amount of hay and night-which she is completly scoffing (compared to 1 section with nice grass!) More money to pay through the "cheap summer"
So tomorrow im going to talk to the YM but what do i say????
Please offer ome help HHO'ers!
Big glass of wine (like me) for getting here!!!!
