im doing grasshoppers at hartpury in feb, but im having a bit of a confidence crisis after a bad fall

i thought id be ready for a 3 footer by then but im not too sure, im sitting at 2'6'' quite happily and doing 2'9'' at home

i used to jump foxhunter, so really i need to man up a bit and get on with it, my horse is more than capable and it isnt the one who decked me in the first place, 3' isnt really much bigger than 2'9 is it? will it be a particually big course do you think?

thankss, beth.

Well i did grasshoppers intro last year and when it says 3'0 it is 3'0'', the first fence is probably 2'9''ish and the rest are bang on height i would have said, not huge and imposing or really underheight.

If you could jump comfortably round a 2'9'' course you will be quite happy going round the grasshoppers course - there is nothing technical about it at all

plus you have 2 BE trainers there giving you advice (if you want to take it on board

)

Its certainly worth it if you feel you're ready - its an extremely friendly competition
