Graze Care

Hi all

So I found a rather nasty graze on my mare’s back today in a really inconvenient place! Can’t work out how she’s done it!

Want it to heal well and have cleaned and sprayed with antibacterial spray. Will be kept open to dry with no rugs used to prevent rubbing. Is there anything I can use to help the healing and hair regrowth at all? Thanks in advance

My girl did something similar in size and scope (maybe a few skin layers deeper) on the inside of her back leg, and is pretty clumsy so regularly gets these on a smaller scale elsewhere. I always just pop some sudocreme or MSM wound cream on it for a couple days and then left to dry, and the hair has always grown back without issue.

+1 on the sudocreme, but I would clean it and reapply daily as it tends to attract a lot of mud/muck.
