Has anyone on here used either of the above? I was going to get some for over winter so he could have hay, his hard feed and then a bucket of Graze On and Speedibeet as extra forage.

Graze on is just dried grass and Graze-On Gold Blend is grass, straw, low sugar molasses and soya oil. The gold blend actually has less energy than the normal Graze- On.

So… do I go for the lower energy one with Molasses? (8MJ/KG)
Or the higher energy one without Molasses? (10-11MJ/KG)

Any experiences? Particularly of feeding a tb… you know what they’re like (ADHD children!!)

I have used the normal Graze-On as a chaff in feed for a number of years. It is extremely good value. When I empty it into my feed bins, it fills two full bins! (This is what I use as feed bins, just an example so you can appreciate the amount of Graze-On in a bag http://www.google.co.uk/products/ca...CSLtSF-Ab-wOnYCA&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#p ). It lasts forever. I haven't used it in the way you are intending, but just wanted to say I love the stuff, and so do both of my horses! It's very cost effective! xx :)

I use Graze On. Both as a chaff, and as extra forage. My mostly TB is very highly strung and she definitely doesn't fizz up on it!

Remember that 'energy' actually means calories - so if you are feeding a poor doer, then you would be better to go for the higher calorie Graze-On.

You also have to remember that sugar doesn't always come just from molasses, it is present naturally in many plant-based foods, such as the grass that Graze-On is made from. If you are concerned about the sugar content, then contact the manufacturer and ask what the sugar level is of each product. Different types of grass chaff may be made from different varieties of grasses, which all have differing sugar levels.

Edited to say sorry, it was Just grass I was thinking about, not tried Graze-on but mine love "Readigrass" it is lovely and yummy smelling (could eat it myself!)

That is quite good value too, it is one of those bags that when you open it expands and you then wonder how all that came out of that bag!
