The 2yr old tb (racehorse) I ride at work over reaches slightly and has grazed her pastern I have tried a soft pastern boots but she was sore with it on and it doesn’t completely cover the grazed area. The top of normal over reach boots will also rub any suggestions what I could try?

I've got a new spare pair of Old Mac's Pastern Wraps that might do the job. They are neoprene and go from the heel bulb to just below the fetlock. They are meant to stop Old Mac Boots from rubbing but I don't need them, and I would have thought they could be used on their own (you could cut off the velcro tabs. You could also put overreach boots over the top of them, and I think that combination probably wouldn't rub.

PM me if you would like me to pop them in the post (free of course as I don't know if it would work).

Equaide is a useful paint-on dressing for grazes and cuts in hard to bandage areas and offers a bit of protection.
