Grazing around Charlbury/Woodstock/Chipping Norton/Witney etc.

I have recently moved to Charlbury and now need to find somewhere to keep my horse (I am moving her to the area next Tuesday 9th March).
I was wondering if anyone can suggest somewhere that I could keep her please? She doesn't need to be stabled, so just needs grazing, ideally with another horse (she's a friendly TB).

Ideas welcome please - perhaps a PC family who may want a companion/extra pair of hands (me!) at weekends with animals, a farmer, someone from the hunt etc etc. Ideally fairly close to Charlbury but I cannot be too fussy!

Try Pat Hunt in Stonesfield - cant remember what the farm is called, but it is on the main road out of Stonesfield on the opposite side to Charlbury. He is a farmer, hunts, and has pretty good facilities I think?

Watermans Lodge at Cornbury Park - they will insist on the horse being stabled at night until May

I am at Baywell Eventing on the fawler road going out towards witney - on the left just out of the village. they offer DIY at a reasonable rate - just pop in or PM me for more details!

Also there is watermead on the spelsbury road that may offer grass livery for a cheap rate.

Park Street is the road that leads past the main gate to Cornbury Park, and there is grazing in paddocks either side of the main drive - I think this land may actually be managed by Blenheim Estates, just to add to the confusion

park street is the one with the cornbury park entrance - there is a field with several horses in it. The lady who offers healing through horses rents the land off blenheim estate and keep her horses there. Her office is on fishers lane on the corner of dancers hill.

also banbury hill farm on the enstone road and the farm opposite offer grazing with no facilities.

My yard has a big all weather and floodlit school if thats what you are after

I spoke to Nikki Lamb on Saturday about livery - but spoke to my vet on Sunday and my mare has been diagnosed with Kissing Spine (she's been lame since October) so will be a LOU. So very sadly I would love to have her somewhere with a school etc etc. but have no need for those facilities very sadly

sorry to hear that - its as shame nikki doesn't do grass livery. Try the other places though. Worth putting an advert on charlbury info website also as I got a few responses form that looking for grass livery.

You could always try Field Farm at North Leigh, they do grass livery, I had my old grey horse there on retirement livery and it was great, really good grazing and good price. They feed hay out too in the wintertime. PM me for more details.
