Grazing/Land how and where ?

I am looking for some land for my three retired horses as having them on livery is so expencive but how do i go about getting some i have put adverts up to no avail asked about but everyone is looking so what can i do to find some any sugestions ?

Nothing like the personal approach. Knock on doors. But make sure it is at a convenient time for the person you are calling on. Nothing more annoying than having people call at meal times, etc! Phone calls and letters are all answered with "No" here and I wouldn't bother answering an advert unless I was strapped for money! (Farming is prospering right now, so....). Also, people know people and a No might get you local information for a Yes somewhere else.
