grazing muzzle

I much prefer these to the Greenguard ones, which are too fiddly for my liking....

My pony toby won't be happy with me again in about 20 minutes, he will be having his put on again for the day! :D If he could talk, the air would be blue....! :p

one of the larger ladies in the field usually wears one of these style grazing muzzles

she also keeps annihilating them!!
can anyone suggest a more robust grazing muzzle or are these generally the best??

Thanks in advance.

is it def a Shires brand one they are wearing.

The Roma ones are fairly identical but softer so better for rubs but easier for the horse to destroy, just wondered if it might be that or another non shires one as the shires ones are normally pretty tough?

Greenguard muzzles are expensive but I believe they are the best. Once you have taken a little time to fit them correctly they are great. One of mine has been using his for about 5 years now, he wears it daily for around 6-7 months of the year, He has no problems eating or drinking through it & his weight is managed beautifully.

hi the one she did yesterday was a shires, she also gets through roma ones and did one that didn't have a label on so not sure who made that one!!!
Ive been looking at the greenguard but as they are a bit more expensive I don't want to buy one if she can break that as easily - I don't mind buying it if it should last......!!
The prob with the ones she wears at the mo is her nose is too fat to fit in a cob size (she is 14.3hh!!) and when she has a large on she can either get it off or if you tighten it so she cant get it off it then rubs instead. poor lass is now stood in the barn sulkily eating hay as everyone else is out but as she looks like a house end she has got no chance of looking at that grass again till she has a new muzzle!!
