Grazing muzzles help........!

My boy has suddently become rather fat........ well pregnant looking and has loads of grass at the moment. cannot fence field off as would be stuck near the fence near a neurotic mare that has already had loads of accidents on the fencing trying to get to my gelding. what are the best muzzles out there and how easy are they to fit. He is also very funny about having things attached to him as he was previously mistreated. thanks for your help in advance x

If you bought an electric fencing kit... you could make him a pen away from the mare.

hi yorkshirelass, the problem I have is that the only short grass in the field is next to the mare so if I section part of the field off he will either be in lush grass or next to the mare, so risk injury or lami. I have ordered the greenguard muzzle so hopefully that will help
