Grazing muzzles/laminitic: recommendations please

Mine only gets on with Dinky’s too. Not particularly cheap but they send them out quick.

I had the same qualms about the dinky but she definitely managed. Unfortunately she wiggled her nose out of it/ate the bottom very quickly so it became pointless.
She's in an easy breathe muzzle at the moment which I prefer to the traditional shires etc bucket muzzles.
A few people on the forum have bought the thin line grazing muzzles this year, I think that's likely to be the next one I try but it's not cheap!

I would definitely go for a dinky, the problem with a lot of muzzles is the nose hokes are small, dinky muzzles dont restrict the nostrils.

Amazingly they seem to work the muzzle out well, my old wee boy couldnt manage in a dinky though and prefers a shires one with a small hole.

I have had great success with the Thinline Flexible Filly on a leather headcollar and adapted Le Mieux sheepskin attachments. No rubbing and horse is happy to have the muzzle on and eats fine in it.

A dinky one rubbed my horse red raw in a patch of his chin in 3 days. Fitted it as instructed but he insisted on trying to eat out the nostril hole. He didn't work out how to use a bucket style one despite 3 sessions trying him with it - My guess is that cos his whiskers didn't feel grass, he gave up! Kept bobbing his head down and straight back up. Surprised, as he is greedy.

I hear the new large see-through ones are good. Think they sell them on Comfy Horse
