I need to get a grazing muzzle for my 12hh Welsh Section B - who has a small head. I tried a Shires one but she didn't seem able to eat with it on.

Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks.

I use a cob size shires grazing muzzle on my little welsh, the head piece goes small enough to stay on, and the muzzle part is wide enough so it doesnt rub and she can eat...

Are you sure she couldn't eat? Daisy used to tell me that she couldn't eat with hers on but she was seen eating by other people when I wasn't looking. It can take a few days for them to get used to it so I'd perservere.

Thanks for the replies. The Shires' pony muzzle is too big and the hole is too forward.

Bethie - thanks for the link. The Dinky Rugs one looks good.

I got a dinky rugs one as recommended on here and it was great! The shires one fell to bits but the dinky one is still going strong!

No the dinky ones dont have a hole in the middle. I have an Xl for a horse of mine and a friend got the L for her cob and neither of our horses could eat from them as the holes were on the side where their teeth werent.!! Can't give an opinion on the smaller sizes. I liked them for the fact they had nostrils cut out so didn't interfere with breathing as much, but no good as couldn't eat.
