opinions on them please, just curious as I am trying one on my mare but she follows me round like a lost pup with it on and seems to like taking it off when no ones looking :P

If used correctly they are brill!!! I had some trouble getting my shetty used to it. Everyone on here was very supportive and gave great advice, told me to stick with it. I did, and it took about 4 weeks of getting him used to it, and me walking away without looking back because the forlorn 'nobody loves me' face he did really got to me. However, after this time I finally caught him eating fine with it on and drinking, so am glad I did it.

He will take his off if I don't get it on right, but now I've worked out the best fit it stays put every day :)

thanks, yeah she only gets it off some days. I will stick with it then but just the way she looks at me makes me feel bad. but I know its for the best. thanks for your help :)

Phil has worn one for the past 3 summers. For the first few weeks he loses it and tries to get it off but now he grudgingly accepts it. I either put it on with his head collar or his fly fringe as I think it slips over his ears but has helped massively with keeping his weight at least stable.

My share horse has a greenguard and gets on fine with it. He initially had a bucket type but couldn't get the hang of it and just stood in the field all day looking miserable and not even attempting to eat. He got the hang of the Greenguard in about 5 minutes and has been happy as Larry in it :)
