Grazing muzzles

What grazing muzzles do you all use?

I think I need one for my 4 yr old. I've never used one in the past, small paddocks, stabling and increased exercise have worked with others before!

I suspect she will have an utter tantrum over it, and probably try to remove it - Which sort do they learn best with? She's also got a very fine (WB) coat, ad I don't want her to get rubbed.
 
I use a Roma one, with a hole in the bottom.
We had tantrums at first - galloping up and down the field...now we just get a grunt when it goes on, and then we get to work trying to get as many blades of grass through as we can :D
I must admit I got 2 and cut the hole a bit bigger on the first one until she got used to it.
 
I have a green guard, rubbed his chin a bit and he's great at removing it. There is an extra strap i found in the bag today though so seeing if that stops him pulling it off!
 
I got a best friends muzzle said wudn't rub at all-in yeah rite his face was a mess! I customized it glued gel pads on2 it then sewed/glued/velcroed sheepskin fur over that. Took a while but absolutely no rubs & all hairs back on his face!!

I've just got a best friend muzzle and put the sheepskin pad on the back of it so it didn't rub his jaw but today have had to buy one of their sheepskins for the front as it has rubbed him on his nose right at the top :(

Did yours rub anywhere else ie at back of the mouth or lips? I just wonder if now it is lined with sheepskin all round the top it will start rubbing somewhere else??
 
Neddynisbet- I've not had any rubbing 2 mouth or lips. Has rubbed everywhere theres a strap basically! Have got sheepskin round back & front. On all straps as well (checkpieces throat lash etc) sheepskin itself wasn't enuf 4 me as it flattened & thinned quickly that's y I put gel pads underneath 2 & so far so good!
 
Oh blimey that's not good :( don't suppose you have any pictures of it now you've adapted it? I got one of their anti rub "thingy" to go on the nose but in one night alone it rubbed again with it on so, I have put that on the straps on the side for now.

He got colic last Sunday (started wearing it on Monday after an emergency shopping trip) so I can't afford for it to rub and then I'm not able to put it on if it gets sore so I want to nip it in the bud now.

Where did you get the gel pads from?
 
For the gel pads I just cut strips from gel insoles & superglued them on!

I have rub marks on nose and bottom lip.

Kinda sorted it with the straps by getting some cheap noseband covers off ebay. She looks stupid but we cant section the 20acre field they are on. W
