Is there such a thing as a muzzle that doesn’t rub? My cobs got rubs under his chin, I’ve tried a larger muzzle which helped a bit but it’s still rubbing. Greenguards are too expensive unfortunately! I was looking at dinky muzzles not sure if they are any good?

I’ve changed from the bucket with hole type to greenguards this year and they’re not rubbing quite as much, plus they seem happier in them generally. My only criticism is that they don’t seem to do an XL size so my big horse does get a rubbed chin (although it’s gradually hardened up).

Mine ate through her dinky muzzle in a week or two. Shame as I really liked it and she seemed to too.
We're on the ultimate muzzle now. It has rubbed her a bit so I'm keeping an eye out but so far it's just hair that's rubbed
If anyone happens to have a cob sized greenguard needing a new home feel free to pm me ;)

I’ve just put my two in ultimate muzzles. They take a bit of adjusting to ensure they don’t rub, they are much bigger than other muzzles & designed not to rub behind the chin. On one I had to put some extra holes in the leather head piece as she was twisting the muzzle to get grass through the nostril part. She rubbed fur off nose but not sore & think is now set up right. Other horse fit from day 1 and no rubs and they definitely can breathe easier. I got both for £77 delivered and think they will last better than the dinky

Showing the rub on nose before adjusting the muzzle. Green on her face is from over soaked grass nuts for tea ?

Mine's in the Shires Flexi Grazer and it seems relatively comfortable so far. I like that there's breathing/vent holes all over and a relatively generous fit. Can't for the life of him work out how to get grass through it though.

Ive found that Dinky muzzles didnt rub any of mine, the greenguard rubbed like crazy on two of mine and i sold them on. I do also have a standard shires bucket type for one of my wee ones and that doesnt rub him (he strangely never got the hang of the greenguard or the dinky).
