I have a feild of about 2.5 acres and i have really struggled to keep it down with my horses this year normally we have it cut for hay but this year we havent as we have masses of hay anyway me and my dad have been racking brains for a solution to get rid of all the grass:
1.Get farmer to cut it
2.Get someone else in to graze it
3.Get some other animal to graze it (borrow off fammer or someone)

What do you think would be best or any other solutions thanks

I would imagine that there are plenty of people looking for grazing. If you put where the field is and you are willing to rent it, i'm sure you will have a few takers

If you want to make some money out of it you could find someone to put their horse on it and charge. If your not bothered about making any cash I'm sure a local farmer would gladly put some sheep on it for you, this is also good for clearing up the patches that horses wont eat and it help control the worm population. Failing that I'm sure a farmer would cut and bale it fo ryou if he got to keep the hay as payment.

The only thing is if you can get a framer to make for hay he probably wouldn't do it for a few more weeks as they are all busy doing silage and the weather need to be more settled to do decent hay.
