Hi would you move yard for different grazing? I have a good doer in a muzzle. Yard is ex cattle farm with rich rye fertilised grass. He’s doing ok with muzzle on but I’m quite stressed because he’s got quite sensitive tummy and gets bit splaty from back end no matter what I give him to support his tumtum. He’s on night turnout and few days ago he somehow managed to take his muzzle off. He’s fine but really bloated. He gets really gassy too. Vet recons this grass is not doing good for him and I’m thinking the same. How to you evaluate grass when viewing yard? He also needs to loose weight and he’s in full variety of work from ground work, jumping(once a week), poles, raised poles, hacking, schooling. Gets two days off sometimes one. Muscle wise he looks great but has fat patches he needs to loose, he’s on one feed to carry supplements he needs for his digestion(ulcer prone) and he’s on soaked hay which is cut from the same grass at the yard and we aren’t allowed to buy in own one, vet recommended to look to move for more meadow grazing rather than cattle. Has anyone done that with positive stories?
Thank you
