Just got home from a flyball Tournament--21/2 hours drive away "up North", having left home at 6 am.
Flyball is so much fun and the dogs just can't wait for their turn. Some dogs were trying to drag their owners into the competition area before their races.
Jess (on left in siggy) has been such a brilliant dog. In her team she was the only one who didn't make any errors. I am so proud of her.
Our team came 4th today so another "rosie" for her collection. Sorry-a bit self indulgent but I just wanted to share. Next weekend we are even further "up North" and will take the caravan to stay a couple of nights.
It's just like competing horses.

Well done on your rosie!!
I love seeing how much dogs enjoy their sports!
I've always fancied flyball - but it's just a bit too noisy! Although agility can be nearly as bad when it's inside!
We are just about to start our show season and getting the tent out - no free weekends until September now!

You didn't lose any balls then and had to bring up the courage to go and look for them in the bushes?

Sorry, couldn't resist, glad to hear it went well and you both enjoyed yourself. Hope it goes well for the two of you next weekend too.

Thanks for your comments.
Marleyand darcy---I've done agility also and know what you mean about the noise comparison. It's not sooo bad outside. Interestingly one year we had a tournament on 11th November (Remembrance Sunday) and at 11am we stopped for the 2 minutes silence. It was absolutely amazing in that the dogs seemed to sense something and they were as silent as the humans.Incredible.
Good luck for the season, I know what you mean about no free weekends til September!

FinnishLapphund---It is impoosible to lose balls--the dogs don't let us. hahaha.
Mind you, yesterday there was a football match quite close to the flyball--boy! was there some talent there!!!!

Sorry, I got your name mixed up with Joya's, hope I can blame it on it being late and that I was tired.

I was trying to begin my post with saying something funny, she did a post in Soapbox about being on TV because she walks her dog/dogs in one of the areas where they've found body-parts and then someone else posted a link to where it could be seen on the PC. On TV she said something about being worried about what the dog/dogs would find in the bushes during their walks.

***FinnishLapphund makes personal note to be more careful with checking who's who before posting replies while being tired...***
