As some of you may have read earlier this week was having a few problems with getting buddy going on the lunge with his tack on...Well yesterday we had a very much lets go back to basics lunging session. I usually have some one help me with the whip (only normal riding whip being tapped on floor) on the one side as even though he has loosened up a lot he can be a bit stubborn it getting going. Well it was just me and him and we had a great session her responded well to every command i gave him and willing walked, trotted and cantered both ways with jus a tap on the floor with the whip.
Well tonight i put him tack back on him and put the lunge rope on him and took him back into the school, with my mom just watching rather than helping. And i am so shocked but really happy to say that he willing went both ways trotting with a few strides of canter and only bucked the once on his first break into canter which i thought was great as was his first time being lunged with stirrups dangling down.
And even more great...afterwards i took him into middle of school and got a stool and got my mom to hold him. And he allowed me to lie completely over him with out paying any notice at all to the fact i was over him. I am really proud of him!
