Great - I looked a right idiot this morning

Don't you just hate it when this happens?

Rode this morning before work and I decided to ride in a hackamore because Canto has got a split in the corner of his mouth and it's quite sore. Not ridden him in a hackamore before, so wasn't sure how it would go.

Anyhow, it started off fine, he was being ok. Then, about 10 minutes into the ride, the lad who rents part of the yard off YO for his eventers came in to ride. Cue Canto throwing head in the air, spooking at everything and being a general monster

I know it sounds daft, but I really admire this lad's riding - he's an incredible rider. His horses are all lunatics and he is truly a brilliant rider - I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up on the British Team. So I really wanted to look as if I could half ride this morning!

Why is it that when you really want to impress someone you always end up looking like a prize muppet????

that happens to me alot they behave superb when your alone

but then show off when someone else there, if you did not fall off you showed you can ride the horse

dont be so hard on yourself

thanks! I was just so annoyed because he normally goes beautifully! Oh dear - he probably didn't even notice us anyway lol! I just felt like such a rubbish rider!

It is a huge jump - far too big for me to dare have a go at - I think it's about 1.50 and it's not me riding in that pic!

Yes that's me riding on the flat. I'm working on getting my jumping confidence back - hoping to start competing in 2009

Fingers crossed - he has lots of talent but can be very naughty!
