Great service - clipper-blade sharpening

Ordered some Heiniger coarse clipper blades online from UK Clippers on Monday lunchtime.

Tuesday morning, they arrived and I found I had ticked the wrong box on my order and the package contained the standard blades. No problem, they said. Pop them back in the post.

Discovered a note in their envelope which said they sharpened blades for £7.50 inc. p&p. Great! So I returned the new blades plus some blunt ones on Tuesday afternoon.

Thursday post, first thing - sharpened blades back, plus a set of the coarse ones.

Pretty impressed, I must say.

PS - Yes, I did post this earlier in NL, but as its a statement, not a question, it's already on page 4, and I'd like to bump it somewhere it might not get buried so quickly. It's jus nice to be able to praise and publish good service.

Thats really fast!
I use clippersharp and they are also really good. I sent 5 pairs of blades off, they were back in a week, only £6.50 a pair because i sent 5.
Very pleased

Gosh that's really good service.

My Dad sharpens mine for me on his lathe and has done for many years but I'd like to send them off this year as I often wonder if it does them any good not been sharpened professionaly.

I must agree, that the guys at UK Clippers do provide a very fast and excellent service. I always hear good reports about their sharpening and I know they are a good source of Heinegar parts and machines.

I used below company, they took over Eddie Palin, Sent the blades on Sat, they had them mon, had them back wed, used them couple of weeks ago for the first time and they were like a hot knife through butter, very pleased

Yep, I used this company for my blades. Sent them two sets on Friday, paid for them over the phone on Tuesday and they were back on the Wednesday. £12.83 for both sets inc P&P. Very, very impressed!

i use a company called leicester clipper services, they are the cheapest around £5.75 per set (postage is free) and they are very quick. i know they have a website, i think it is www.leicesterclipperservices.co.uk they also trade on ebay i think.

I also used Leicester Clipper Services based on the above recommendation, and can second it! Excellent service, sent back to me by return of post, nice courtesy call, and a really helpful man. Plus the best value I could find...

The company i used below (Leicester Clipper Services) service and repair all makes and models of horse clippers as well as blade sharpening. I sent them 3 sets of clippers and 8 sets of blades and they were very quick. i cant remember off hand what they charged for the service but i think it was about £15-20 because to service all 3 clippers and sharpen the 8 blades only came to £95 in total.
