There seems to be a thought by a few, that stallions live horrible unfulfilled lifes because their owners are too "scared" to let them have a life
crazy.gif
Apparently they live solitary, dull, boring and miserable existances
shocked.gif
So I thought i'd let you see my miserable bunch and then people can judge for themselves....
ooo.gif

Please excuse the number of piccys, its just soooooooo hard to pick which they look most miserable in
confused.gif

So is it Cosseted & Greedy or Cherished & Enjoyed... the choice is yours....

Anyone else wishes to show how miserable your stallions at home are....feel free

OK - here's my miserable deprived locked-up stally:

This one was taken soon after he arrived at his new home (Cliveden) last November - he's looking a wee bit stunned by it all!:

Having his nose rubbed by besotted owner (yes, the stables are huge - big enough to canter round, as he has proved on many occasions):

HTobago, the penultimate piccy is so sweet, his face is a picture! He looks like he's about to turn around and run for it..

The stables must be huge, or are you secretly under 4ft tall?!

He looks sooooooo deprived doesn't he - NOT!
grin.gif

He looks fantastic and no one could say he leads a miserable life at all
smile.gif

Hopefully we will disspell a few myths that stallions have a rough deal by their owners just because we cherish them (cherished is a far better description than the word cosseted don't you think!)

LOL! No, I'm 5ft5 - the stables really are enormous, and the doors are very high; Tobago looks so shrimpy in his box - especially as most of the other horses on the yard are huge great hunters and eventers, including several by Jumbo!

The penultimate picture is slightly misleading. He looks a bit startled, but actually 'what happened next' was that he did a giant leap in the air - forwards! - and the handlers nearly lost hold of him! This was his first turn-out day in a new yard, and he was beside himself with the excitement of it all, bless him. Didn't know whether to go up, down, back, forwards or sideways, and kept trying to do them all at once....

But he's very happy there, and a big favourite with all the staff, cos he's so sweet and funny.
