Yikes! Nope no and no! No more 2 legged foalies for me! AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!! PMSL!
Copious amounts of various wine, bottles and a friends birthday.... stopped drinking at one but didn't get in til after 4 and was up for work at 7, it's the lack of sleep thats the problem! I'm just a little more 'off the wall' than usual!
Oh to be young! If you are being off the wall least you have the excuse of a heavy night drinking....the other day someone asked if I was drunk (they know who they are
If caring and loving my stallions and wanting the best for them, hoping they will live a long and happy lives, not putting them in harm's way as much as can be avoided doing the best I can for them, then so be it I am greedy, not quite sure why tho!
Clients leave here with a mare in foal having paid me about a quarter of what their foal will be worth as a foal on the open market. Stallion fees have increase little in the last 10 years all we have changed is AI and yes that may cost a little extra but then instead of covering 5 mares a day my boys can collect about 3 times a week and have enough semen to AI 20-30 mares, which do you think is better for a popular stallion covering many mares!?!
Also for the stallions that the public insist must compete as well as serve mares! Gone are the days I have had to rush home early from a show to cover a mare or taken one of them straight off the lorry onto a mare or straight from covering a mare onto the lorry to compete, how much do you think these stallions can keep doing!!
Also if spending a fortune on fencing and hedging just so my boys can go out most days safe and sound get the sun on their backs, graze and relax, is that greedy, I don't know I am not really sure you know!
