Went to get my mare in tonight and found that she had pale green snot like discharge on her left side of her nostril, the other day someone else commented on this as well but i didnt notice at the time. She also has a nasty couth as well which i put down to the field being very dusty as shes not used to living out.
However looks healthy in herself, eating and drinking fine? I have just brought another filly who she has been with for 2 weeks and that is healthy other than being fat! Also on sat had a shetland come from a charity but mare had couth before this so know she hasnt caught that from her. Any ideas or should i admit defeat and call vet in morn. Hoping not strangles or anything like that?
