Greenguard muzzles and teeth

I was told today that although Greenguard are the best muzzles they wear away horses' teeth. Has anyone any experience of this? Do other muzzles do this too?

Pony I ride has had one on all summer, has had no effect on her teeth.

Our pony has always worn one most of the summers for the last couple of years - and doesn't appear to have had any ill effect at all. Would definitely recommend the greenguard muzzles though - pony didn't manage to get it off once - but used to get any other muzzles off within a couple of minutes of it going on.
