For his first time properly again!

He was such a good boy, been a little bit more spritely since the rain's been here past couple of days, but otherwise still good as gold :) He went out for his first ride outside round the fields on monday, which he behaved impeccably and walked all the way out there on his own through the wood and then schooled walk and trot in the field, round all the jumps [which he'd never seen but honestly acted like they weren't even there!]. We did have a stop and snort when the cows next to us charged off up the hill, but that was the biggest reaction, and then he carried on like normal again bless him.

Then today decided he could have canter work introduced, as probably getting a bit bored of walk and trot work plus he's been so quick catching on about bending and moving away, figures of 8, spirals, etc bless him, I thought I'd try a canter on him.
First attempt we just got extended trot, then asked again and he picked up canter bless him and did a circle, praised him and then did a couple more which he picked up perfectly again and then did the same on the other rein. Not one arguement, bunny hop, excitedness or anything.

Sorry, had to do another proud post!!! :D:D:D:D

Shall get try and get some video's tomorrow. I may even take him out on his first little hack round the farm. :D

Loooooooooooove him!

I need to start calling them all by their names I think...what with 'Hairy cob', 'Grey baby', 'Irish horse' and 'The Pony'!

I feel mean. LOL.

But go clever grey baby :D

^ I've been putting that thought off too lol. But I'm clinging to the hope that he's always been such a chilled out lad like this from since he was born lol.

Cliqmo - Aww yay for Bentley! :D Must be!

Ironic thing is, I'll always swear blind I DETEST greys. Depsite the fact my two favourite ones on the yard, are *wait for it* Greys!!! Haha :P
