My friend has a black cob who is in his mid teens. He looks very well and has a good coat but he has a lot of grey hairs on his face. Has anyone any experience of dyeing horses' coats or any other bright ideas?

Nothing really, she just thinks it makes him look really old.

Sorry I'm still at a loss as to why it would matter so much that you'd want to dye his face?

You think your horse has problems,huh.I said hello to a girl i hadnt seen for a few years and was totally blanked. About 10 minutes later she came over and said "oh I didnt recognise you, didnt your hair used to be black.Give your horse a consolation hug from me,I know how he feels

there are hair dyes for horses on the market... or you could not bother? alternatively use grooming coal and don't brush off.

A lady at an old yard had a show pony with a very small star. She said when she was going to sell him sh would pluck them out. . . hmmm interesting.
I dont see what the problem is. Im sure you could just buy some horse make up and cover it up if that fussed
