So relieved. Wounds are dry and scabbing over, no sign of infection, temp normal, sound in walk. Picking him up at about half eleven tomorrow. Surgeon coming out Friday to change the dressing and then stitches out end of next week . . . HURRAH!

Thank you SO much for all your kind words and positive vibes. A few more please . . . fellow livery is having her old boy x-rayed today with suspected fractured pedal bone. If it's a straight fracture with no floating bits, he's fixable . . . if it's not and there are bone chips, it's curtains. He's too old for surgery.

Thank you both . . . very relieved that he's on the mend.

Our yard has had a time of it lately . . . on the same day GD was kicked (last Fri) another veteran was PTS with chronic colic . . . we could really do without losing another one so fingers and toes firmly crossed for Sal's lovely boy.
