. . . took him for his first walk in-hand since his surgery . . . he was an angel . . . we walked up the gallops and I took a hoof pick so I could pick his feet out every six or seven steps . . . he met his new fieldmates without any drama (over the fence) and then I took him down to where his pen will be for a pick of grass and a forage under the snow. The only blot in his copybook is that he had a couple of spooks and nearly ran into me, but he checked himself and didn't spook far/generally behaved. For a sharp, fit horse who has been kept in a stable for two weeks he was a superstar.

Love my boy.
