Well my little man is improving in leaps and bounds. He went out into the field with his new field friends (having been alongside them for two weeks) for the first time on Saturday morning. All three of them had been worked so were tired/chilled and it really couldn't have gone better . . . especially when they all got down and rolled in perfect synchronicity - all in a line :).

He has started jumping again this week and on Saturday jumped a metre fifteen upright and a metre five parallel with ease - hurrah :). More hacking, schooling and jumping this week and then he's off to a Paul Tapner clinic on Saturday.

I can't tell you how wonderful it is a) to see him back out in the field with kind, gentle horsey friends; b) not worry about him being kicked or picked on; and c) be able to actually lift his bed and leave it up to air b/c I don't have to have him brought in so flipping early - they all come in together at about 4 p.m.

:D

Fantastic soooooo pleased for you:D:D:D

Thank you . . . must admit I had a massive grin on my face yesterday watching him graze peacefully with his new friends.

He can get down and roll when he wants without being told to get up, he can graze where he wants within reason (Trico is quite prescriptive about where the three of them eat, but neither of the other two drive him off food), there's no hind leg action so limited risk of him being kicked, he has more horses around him b/c his new field adjoins three others . . . and he gets two hours more turnout a day (and will get much more in the summer). It's all good.
